How to choose a safe injector
Listings are not endorsements. Whoever you consider, these questions help you compare providers.
Check the license
Look the provider up on the public register of their licensing body, for example your state medical or nursing board in the US, the GMC or NMC in the UK, AHPRA in Australia, or your provincial college in Canada. Confirm the name, profession and that the license is current.
Ask about training and experience
Ask how long they have been injecting, what training they have in facial anatomy, and how often they treat the area you are interested in.
Ask which products they use
Ask which filler or neuromodulator they plan to use and why. In the US, products should be FDA-approved for the use; other countries have their own approvals. Be wary of discounted product sourced online or from outside the regulated supply chain.
Ask how complications are handled
Rare but serious problems such as a blocked blood vessel need fast action. Ask whether the clinic stocks hyaluronidase for hyaluronic acid fillers, and what their emergency plan is.
Expect a proper consultation
A good provider reviews your medical history and allergies, explains risks and realistic outcomes, may suggest less treatment than you asked for, and never pressures you to decide on the spot.
Be cautious about the setting
Injectables should be given in a clean, clinical setting by a qualified professional. Treat “filler parties”, unusually low prices and unlicensed injectors as red flags.
